Arrive Guwahati Airport Our representative will pick you up and then transfer to
hotel. Check in at Hotel & Fresh up. After that you will visit Assam State Zoo cum
Botanical Garden - is the largest of its kind in the North East region and it is
spread across 432 acre. In evening you can visit Paltan Bazar - specialises in
bamboo crafts, tribal clothes of the Northeastern communities, local furnishing, and
a stunning variety of tea leaves. Later you will drive back to the hotel and stay
overnight.
After breakfast check out and proceed to Bhalukpong via Bhomoraguri Dolphin sighting
point at Tezpur. The local people who take you on a boat safari ride on the waters
of Brahmaputra River and this is the excellent opportunity to sigh the endangered
Gangetic River Dolphin. (On Additional payment basis). Overnight at Bhalukpong.
After breakfast drive to Dirang. Enroute at Tipi visit Orchid Center - houses a
large number of species of orchids, and thus is seen as an important tourist
destination in the district. And visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (blooming is from end
March till May), reach Dirang and visit the Dirang Monastery - built to protect
Bomdila from invasions. It was also used as a prison during the ill-famed Vietnam
War and a refuge during the World War. Check into the hotel and overnight at Dirang.
Today after breakfast visit Mandela Top - Perched at around 10,000 feet above sea
level in the Himalayas,As a spiritual pilgrimage for many, the feeling you get when
you arrive cannot be beat. Back to Dirang & visit Dirang Monastery - built to
protect Bomdila from invasions. Break for lunch. After lunch go for excursion to
Sangti Valley inhabited by Monpa Tribe. - nature dotted with pristine forests and
meandering fast hill rivers and home to a very interesting culture and tradition.
Back to hotel and overnight at Dirang.
After breakfast drive to Tawang, enroute you will visit Sella Pass - a high-altitude
mountain pass located on the border between the Tawang and West Kameng districts in
the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. And Sella Lake, one of these lakes situated
at the top of the sela pass, located at the height of the approximate 4200m This
sela pass is regarded as the significant location in the indo china border. Also
visit Jaswant Ghar and before reaching Tawang visit the Nunarang fall, also known as
Bong Bong Falls. Reach Tawang and check in to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Tawang.
After breakfast, today visit Tawang Monastery - The Famous GadenNamgyalLhatse,
popularly known as Tawang Monastery was founded by Merak Lama LodreGyatso in the
year 1680-81. The monastery stands on the spur of a hill, about 10,000 feet above
sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and
gradual slope on the east. It offers a commanding and picturesque view of the
Tawang-chu valley. From a distance it appears like a fort as if guarding the
votaries in the wide valley below. Tawang monastery is the largest of its kind in
the country and is one of the largest t monasteries in Asia. Though it has the
capacity for housing about seven hundred monks, the actual number of resident lamas
(monks) at present is a little more than 450. This monastery is the fountain-head of
the spiritual life of the people of this region. Also visit Urgelling Monastery -
the birth place of Sixth Dalia Lama. After a late lunch and refreshment visit Tawang
War Memorial and evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang.
Today morning after early breakfast, you will drive to Bumla Pass which is located
about 37 km away from Tawang at the Indo-China border over 15,200 ft above sea
level. A further drive will take you to visit high altitude lake called as
Shunga-tser Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake located 35, kms away from Tawang
near the China Border. The drive to Shunga-tser Lake is full of thrill and one can
still see the war bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962.
Nestled amidst the pristine mountains and picturesque surrounding, It was formed in
the aftermath of the 1950 earthquake. Prior to the earthquake, this piece of land
used to be employed as the grazing ground for the cattle. The evidence of it can be
seen in the protruding trunks of the dead trees from the middle of the lake. The
lake has been under supervision of Army men, who have also arranged for a cafeteria
nearby. Tourists can relish on the delicious Momos, Maggis topped with a cup of
tasty coffee or tea. Tourists can also take to trekking around the lake while
enjoying the gentle lashes of the pleasant breeze around. During return take a photo
stop at the beautiful PTSO lake en route (17 kms away from Tawang, Pangong Tang Tso
Lake popularly known as PT Tso which is an extremely scenic drive with bird’s eye
view of the township below). Later in the afternoon drive back to hotel. On the way
back visit Ani Gompha. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Tawang.
After breakfast drive to Bomdila- the head quarter of West Kameng District of
Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of
attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. Upon arrival check in to the
hotel. Later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling
Monastery (Lower Gonpa).Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan
landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight
stay at Bomdila.
After an early breakfast drive to Kaziranga - In the heart of Assam, covering an
area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned
rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and
bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO for its unique natural environment. Upon reaching check in to the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umiam Lake - It is also a popular
destination for water sport and adventure facilities, a majestic placid lake with

Today after breakfast get ready to Explore • Ward’s Lake is amongst the popular
tourist attractions of Shillong which is a must-visit. It is also known as Pollock’s
Lake (Nan Polok) because of a popular engineer during the per-independence era. It
is said to be around a 100 years old. The establishment of this lake was planned by
the then Chief Commissioner of Assam, Sir William Ward. Construction was done by
Colonel Hopkins in the year 1894. • Elephant falls - Renamed as Elephant Falls by
the British, who found it difficult to pronounce the local name, the waterfall is
believed to have gotten its name from a huge elephant-shaped rock near it. The
iconic Elephant Falls, which attract tourists in hordes to Shillong in Meghalaya,
has now become an eyesore. The crystal clear water at the bottom of the falls, is
now turning murky and smelly, thanks to pollution. Mawphlang Sacred Forest:
Mawphlang Sacred Forest One of the most famous sacred forests is the Mawphlang
Sacred Forest, about 25 kilometers from Shillong. Covering some 192 acres, the
Mawphlang Sacred Forest, nestled in the East Khasi Hills near Mawphlang village, has
its roots steeped deep in the age-old religious beliefs, in which forests are
regarded as a sacred entity. After that back to shillong for overnight stay.
Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore
the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk to have a
spectacular view of the Single living Root Bridge. After lunch drive to Dawki. Dawki
is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place.
It is a splendid drive of 45 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines,
which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot River,
The Umngot River is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima
Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single span suspension bridge was constructed.
Drive to Cherrapunjee for overnight stay. Mawlynnong village, situated at about 100
Kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village
of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village

height of 1115 feet, the Nohkalikai falls are the tallest plunge waterfall in India.
Be dazzled by the beauty of this scenic force as you cherish this rare moment. •
Seven Sisters Falls: Located south of the Mawsmai village, the Seven Sisters Falls
is a vibrant spectacle. The fall at a height of 1033 feet plunges over the top of
limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills, but only during the rainy season. • Mawsmai
cave : A major northeast tourist attraction, the Mawsmai cave is flocked by tourists
throughout the year. Visit these surreal limestone constructions for a holistic
holiday experience. • Arwah cave: The Arwah Cave in Cherrapunjee is a magnificent
spot for all nature lovers. One can spot a diverse range of flora and fauna amidst
these limestone stacks. • Mawkdok Dympep Valley View / Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge:
located at the very start of Sohra tourist circuit, is one of the most prominent
attractions of the place. The forest department has made a viewpoint at this valley
from where tourists can enjoy and appreciate the natural beauty of the valley. Most
Tourists get the first view of the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, which extends right up to
Cherrapunjee, from this viewpoint. Getting a clear view is a matter of chance as

After breakfast you will explore Mountains. Kamakhya Devi is also referred to as the
“Bleeding Goddess”. The history is that Mata Sati took her own life by jumping in
the Yagya which was performed by her father in which he didn’t invite Lord Shiva
(Mata Sati’s spouse) knowingly. This leads to Lord Shiva to take Mata Sati’s corpse
and roaming in pain. On seeing this, Lord Vishnu cut Mata Sati’s corpse into 52
pieces using his Sudarshan chakra, which formed 52 shakti peeths. It is believed
that “Yoni” of Mata Sati fell on the place, where the Kamakhya Temple is situated
today. Here are some facts about the Kamakhya Temple • The temple has three
chambers: • Western chamber is rectangular shaped and is not open for the devotees.
• The middle chamber is square shaped, with an idol of the Goddess. • The middle
chamber leads to the holy Garbha Grihya, the most important part is 20 feet under
the ground in a small cave, there is no idol but a small “Yoni” shaped kund where
one can see water coming out of it. This kund is always covered with red cloth and
flowers. • In the month of June, every year, the divinity bleeds and the water of
Bhramputra river turns red in color. It is strange until this date that there is no
scientific reason of this. • Although the temple is open 365 days a year, except for
3 days (In the month of June on the occasion of Ambubachi Mela). • Temple opens
daily from 0800 hrs to 1300 hrs and from 1430 hrs to 1730 hrs • VIP darshan facility
is available at the counter. • The dress code is formal as in other Hindu Temples.
Devotees can enter the temple without covering the head but your shoulders and legs
