DAY WISE TOUR ITINERARY
Namaste and welcome to Delhi, the capital city of India. Our representative will
receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the
day/evening is at leisure.
After breakfast, you will head to Agra, which is a beautiful city situated on the
banks of river Yamuna that achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors
from 1526 to 1628. It still remains a popular tourist destination because of its
many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur
Sikri, all three are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at
the hotel. After some relaxation, visit the Agra Fort that resembles the magnificent
Red Fort in Delhi. The Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of
Private Audience) and the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) are must-see attractions
here. Later in the evening, enjoy a royal Tonga ride (Optional) to the Taj Mahal -
the most extravagant symbol of love, dedication and purity that took almost 22 years
to build. It is an ivory-white marble monument where rests the mortals of Mughal
Emperor Shahjahan (who built Taj Mahal) and his wife Mumtaz. An interesting fact
about this stunning edifice is that it turns pinkish in the morning, milky white in
the evening and golden at night as the moonlight falls upon it. Watching the sunset
over this iconic monument is truly a sight to behold.
After breakfast, drive to Ranthambore. En-route, visit Fatehpur Sikri: a
16th-century town established by Mughal Emperor Akbar. It comprises of various
attractions that depict the grandeur of Mughal architecture and the rich lifestyle
of Mughal Empire. Though a short-lived capital of the Mughals, this town offers
glimpses of stunning monuments built during the reign of Mughals in India. The
gateway to this city - the Buland Darwaza - is one of the major attractions here as
it is said to be the highest gateway in the world. On reaching Ranthambore, check-in
at the hotel. Ranthambore also called the Abode of Tigers is renowned as one the few
places that offer the highest number of Bengal Tiger sightings. Located in Sawai
Madhopur, it also offers deep insights into the traditional village life of
Rajasthan. The day is free at leisure or you can also visit the Rajiv Gandhi
Regional Museum of Natural History or walk-through the small villages of Rajasthan
to see its traditional culture and traditions.
The Ranthambore National Park is a wide expanse of wilderness in Ranthambore. It is
a favored spot for avid travelers and photography enthusiasts. The park also
comprises of a years-old Ranthambore Fort, overlooking the entire sanctuary, built
in 944 AD. Head for an early morning Ranthambore Wildlife safari where you will soak
in the natural beauty and rich wildlife including Leopards, Jackals, Gazelle, Boars,
etc. - especially Tigers. As per 2014 census, there are about 62 tigers present
here. Also, watch animals moving around freely around the lake in this national
park. After a thrilling safari ride, return to the hotel. Settle in for breakfast
and relax for some time. Later in the afternoon, proceed with an evening safari to
Ranthambore National Park and continue exploring this natural habitat of various
wild animals.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to
Jaipur. It is a city known as the Pink City of India due to extensive use of pink
sandstone in various buildings of the city. Its monuments showcase a myriad of
architectural styles and its vibrant bazaars are famous for traditional handicrafts
and jewelry. The ambiance of this city speaks volumes of the rich lifestyle of the
Rajput Kings. Upon arrival in Jaipur, you will check-in at the hotel and the rest of
the day is at leisure.
After breakfast, head out for sightseeing. First, we will visit the Amer Fort dating
back to the 16th century that displays private halls, pavilions, former private
chambers of the King and royal Rajput women. The reflection of this fort, falling on
the Maota Lake, is truly captivating. Enjoy an Elephant ride here. Explore the City
Palace consisting of former private and public chambers, silver vessels, courtyards,
gateways, private chambers of the King and lot more. Later, head to Jantar Mantar.
It is an astronomical observatory that features the World’s largest Sundial - Samrat
Yantra. Visit the Hawa Mahal - a five-storey palace built in 1799 during Rajput
rule. It is popularly known for its intricately-designed 953 windows adorned with
spectacular latticework. Later, the afternoon is kept free to visit the famous
Markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets, and handicrafts. Jaipur is an ideal place for
buying souvenirs.
This morning post breakfast, we will drive back to Delhi. On arrival, you have the
rest of the day at leisure. Relax at the hotel or head out for shopping.
After breakfast, proceed with Delhi sightseeing tour with the first visit to the
Jama Masjid - the largest Mosque in India. Visit Chandni Chowk – oldest, biggest
bazaar of Old Delhi. Later, walk up to Fatehpuri Masjid and enjoy a rickshaw ride
till Red Fort. Here our driver will meet you, drive past Red Fort (a 17th-century
historical fort in Delhi) and reach Rajghat, a memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was
cremated. An eternal flame burns on one side of this memorial. Visit the Humayun
Tomb - the first garden-style tomb of India. The main highlight of this tomb,
inspired by Persian architecture, is the four garden squares with water passage
channels surrounding the tomb. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan - residence of the
President of India and India Gate - an archway built in honor of the soldiers who
died in World War I. Visit Qutub Minar built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1193 to mark
the beginning of Muslim rule in India.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will check-out from the hotel, and drive to
Rishikesh. Once you arrive in Rishikesh, you will check-in at the hotel and have the
rest of the day at leisure.
Today we will drive you to the venue of the Yoga festival - Ganga Resort Rishikesh.
Here you will get to practice and learn about the various forms in Yoga. There will
be Therapeutic Yoga, meditation, Pranayam, Surya Kriya and so many more different
types of sessions. Once the day’s events are over we will drive you back to the
hotel.
This morning after breakfast we will drive you back to the venue of the Yoga
festival. Enjoy another day at the Festival. Later we will drive you back to the
hotel. The evening will be at leisure.
This morning you have a choice between attending the Yoga festival and going out for
some sightseeing. Sightseeing of Rishikesh consists of the following - Laxman Jhula,
Ram Jhula, Swarg Ashram, Bharat Mandir. In the evening you can enjoy the Ganga aarti
ceremony at Parmarth Niketan.
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast. Post that we will drive you to Delhi and transfer to the airport. You can take the flight for your onward journey. Hope you had a wonderful time exploring with us. Have a pleasant flight.
